Background
- Engaged to devise, deliver and embed standardized ways of working within IT Services as well as the Business School.
- Supporting both staff and students, a team of project managers managed a large project portfolio. The main challenge was to ensure systems and applications kept pace with the growing demands from their customers and with a large international component, uptime was paramount for both on site and distance learning.
- Standardized processes, materials and training were required to increase visibility of planning, program management, project delivery, governance and reporting for both waterfall and agile initiatives.
Goals
- Improve visibility of project progress aligned to University and department roadmaps.
- Devise and implement program, project and governance frameworks for IT and Business School divisions.
- Develop and implement fit for purpose processes with associated process flows, supporting templates, stage gate checklists plus reporting dashboards.
- Embed ways of working via coaching and training of teams.
